Mars
Mixed Media Acrylic on Canvas
900 x 1200
A thick line divides the fiery geometry. A linear event distinguishes two mediums as one. A snowy alpine peak battles the fierce red crust of a neighbouring planet.
Painted with its partner Earth, Mars was to represent the first step in our solar system away from home. The triangular geometry was to initiate a more man-made thought. The angles bring concern, with concern comes question. Where will this lead us in the future?
Beneath the surface of the dust colored planet, small green plants were painted, their outlines seen through the glimpses of green or through the roughness in texture. The idea was to open the conversation of life on this planet. Is this a possible future?
